From the mountains of Tahiti to the rivers of Hawaii nei, water has connected and sustained its people for thousands of years. The Wai Kai Show will take you across our great ocean, sharing stories of ancient and modern times. Join us as we surf through the rich history and cultural legacy left by the kupuna (ancestors) who navigated across the South Pacific seas.
Gather on the lanai at The LookOut restaurant where the viewing decks that surround the Wai Kai Wave become your theatre to watch the dancers, musicians and surfers perform. This is the first show ever to incorporate live surfing by using the 100-foot wide Wai Kai Wave in the performance – the perfect way to learn about the history of Heʻe Nalu (ocean wave riding) and Heʻe Puʻe Wai (river wave surfing).
